Massachusetts Movers need to be licensed by the Mass Dept. of Telecommunications and Energy (DTE) Transportation Division.  And that's a fact.  Anyone who says they are a mover, but does not have that certificate, is NOT a mover.
You can save yourself a lot of money, if you make sure your problem furniture fits through doorways, hallways, staircases, around corners, over banisters, etc., before the delivery men try to bring it into the house. If a professional from Pre-Move Strategies shows you how to pack your household things, you can save hundreds of dollars by packing it yourself.

Should you be asking yourself these questions?

My sofa needs to be hoisted over a balcony.  Is this possible?

How do I load my rental truck?...................Can you show us?

Will my furniture fit in my building's elevator?

I need to get my sofa upstairs and around a tight corner, then down a narrow hallway.

The store tells me it will fit but this is the second try.

I waited 9 weeks for my sofa but when it finally came  it wouldn't fit through my doorways.

The sales people told me it would fit but they were wrong!

I have a finished rec room in my basement. What size sectional will make it through the doors and down the stairway?

My armoire got stuck and it had to be returned to the store.

I need to move a high back sofa through a narrow door, is it possible?

We just moved into our new "antique" house and most of our large furniture would not fit. What can we do?

We have never moved before. Where do we start? How do we choose a mover? Can I do my own packing?

I want to move myself. What type of equipment do I need and how many people?

Can you supervise our move for us and show us what needs to be done and direct us in the proper truck loading techniques.

We are building our dream home and want to fill it with large ornate furniture from overseas.  Is it possible to work with our homebuilder regarding the proper measurements of stairways, hallways, door widths and ceiling heights?

We will be moving our large office.  Is it possible for you to show us all the proper procedures to get ready for the movers and how to catalog all our furniture and supplies for a smooth delivery?

Do-it-yourself moves, or hire a mover?   Ask Harry Lipsky, your mover mentor at PRE-MOVE STRATEGIES

I am planning a major remodel, should I use PRE-MOVE STRATEGIES to discuss  the furniture we are planning to buy BEFORE the contractor begins his work?

DON'T HIRE A MOVER OR ORDER THAT FURNITURE, BEFORE YOU TALK TO ME!
